She also appeared as Velma Kelly in Woodstock Musical Theatre Company's production of Chicago at the Opera House and as Elsa Schrader in Townsquare Player's production of The Sound of Music at the Raue Center for the Performing Arts in Crystal Lake. "No singing, no dancing, no impossibly quick costume changes and no cart wheels? This can't be!" Seriously, she is thrilled and proud to be playing a part in the telling of this very important story. She sends her love to her favorite guys, John and George Bailey. "It can be a wonderful life, don't ya think?"

CELIA SAX.....Anne Frank

At fifteen years old, Celia Sax acted in a myriad of shows. From existential shorts like After the Rock Left to glitzy fantasies like The Wiz, Celia loves to do it all. Besides acting on film and on the stage...she enjoys writing, reading, all aspects of cinema, and music. As an honor student at New Trier High School, Celia enjoys learning a great deal. Her level of enthusiasm in performing with the Town Square Players as Anne Frank is difficult to measure. In other words, she's thrilled! She wishes to thank everyone in the cast and crew for collaborating so successfully on this show. Anne Frank's story is just one in a plethora of Holocaust accounts, but her beautiful words and intimacy make her so special. Celia wishes everyone who partakes in and views the show to walk away with a greater appreciation of the consequences and pointlessness of hatred. Anne was a beautiful girl and her story deserves to live on. Thanks go to Celia's friends and family for supporting her and driving her to Woodstock daily. A very special thanks is extended to her sister Heidi for returning home early from Australia to see the show. And of course, thank you to Anne Frank and everyone who worked in publishing her diary. THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Sheri is delighted to be performing in her second TSP show. Before playing Molly in the Phoenix Workshop's production of "Fork in the Road", Sheri toured full time for three and a half years with the international drama company Covenant Players. The highlight of her travels was a nine month tour of Alaska, performing in schools, prisons, hospitals, churches, military bases, drug and alcohol rehab centers and retirement homes all over the state. Sheri also teaches after school drama classes for Christian Youth Theater. She would like to thank the cast and crew for their dedication, creativity and friendship.

RYAN TIPTON.....Peter Van Daan

Ryan made his debut on the stage two and a half years ago in the Woodstock High School production of "Crazy for You" as Lank Hawkins. Since then he has appeared in nine shows including West Side Story, Bang Bang You're Dead, Pippin, and Grease. Though his love for theatre knows no bounds, Ryan also finds time to paintball, attend as many concerts as possible, and sing whatever, whenever. Should life on the stage not pan out as an actual career or a record label not sign, Ryan is currently studying to go into the field Crimenology.

The Staff

ANGIE BRANDENBURG -
(Costume Designer) “Diary of Anne Frank” marks Angie’s first turn as costume coordinator for TSP. Previously, Angie was costume assistant for WMTC’s “Chicago” and coordinated costumes for last year’s WMTC holiday production of “Miracle on 34th Street.”

Angie is currently doing time as choreographer for Harvard High School’s “Annie” and this winter, she will be the assistant choreographer for “Seussical” at Prairie Ridge High School. She was also choreographer for the WMTC production of “HMS Pinafore” last spring.

No stranger to the stage, Angie has performed in such notable highlights as “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Jekyll and Hyde” (both for WMTC), “The Boyfriend” and “A Chorus Line (both for TSP) at the Opera House and in “Joseph,” “The Sound of Music” and “Music Man” (all for TSP) at the Raue Center for the Arts.

At first, when faced with the opportunity to outfit a small cast, living in seclusion, where mostly everyone is on stage the entire time, with little or no quick costume changes, and very little possessions and costumes that are brought onto the stage initially; the task may seem overly simplistic. However, resorting to cliché’s and following a formulaic pattern would not do justice to the integrity of this determined group who so resolutely and silently fought for their lives. The shining ray of hope throughout the story was Anne’s spirited bravery and vitality. We hope that tonight, the “look” of the performers lends support to the historical turn of events and perilous inevitability that befall these characters.

Angie would like to thank you all for watching and for supporting their story.

JENNIFER T. ERICKSEN -
(Property Manager)  Jennifer is very excited to be a part of this production's staff, and expecially working with the director who helped her find a comfort in theatre during her first show, WMTC's "Man of La Mancha". Although this is her first position as Property Manager, she has spent a lot of time recently working with props in WMTC's "Footloose", and previously in WMTC's "HMS Pinafore". Jennifer has been seen both on and off the stage in several productions throughout the area. Recently, she performed in WMTC's "HMS Pinafore", and MCC's production of "Hair" as Diane. Jennifer is happy to assist backstage when needed and feels that all actors should take the time to experience the "world behind the stage", so they can better appreciate the production as a whole. Aside from theatre, Jennifer sings in the Crystal Lake Community Choir, competes in area karaokee contests, and is a Senior Account Manager in Rolling Meadows. She resides in Woodstock with her husband Lloyd, and son Ethan. As always she wishes to thank her " hubby" for his overwhelming and continuous support.

JOANNE GUTHRIE-GARD -
(Stage Manager)  This is Joanne's 4th production with TSP but her first in the position as Stage Manager after experiencing her first backstage job with Forever Plaid earlier this year. She has had the pleasure of portraying Golde in Fiddler on the Roof and has had parts in Sound of Music and Music Man at the Raue. Joanne is a committee member for the Public Relations Committee for WMTC and TSP, actively promoting theater to the public. She holds a BA in Music Education from Western Illinois University, but has found her daytime passion in the corporate world working for Motorola in the department of Global Customer Relations. Joanne makes her home in Crystal Lake with her children Maureen, Mitchell, and Erin.
