Charlie begins to tell a story in "his language". It is quite fast paced, with Charlie acting out each scene.
The audience roars with laughter, not understanding a word he's saying. Everyone else understands him, with the exception of Owen.
Charlie Begins

They are so proud of Charlie
Froggy can’t believe they fall for his act. Meanwhile, Owen turns on Charlie accusing him of being a "Foreigner" and causing trouble for
everyone. He desperately tries to convice the others, after Charlie tries to get him to understand what he is saying.

As everyone understood what Charlie has said, Catherine is convinced it is due to Ellard’s teaching Charlie English.
This proves Ellard isn’'t dumb, and is entitled to his share of their parent’s inheritance.

David is outraged at Catherine’s decision, as is Owen. David & Owen’s plan for using the money to further the Klan’s agenda
- lets their KKK involvement, slip for the first time.

Everyone is in shock, most of all Catherine. David tries to explain that thier cause is a good one.
Owen threatens David to get the money that Catherine plans to give to Ellard.

While Betty tries to console Catherine, Ellard has a plan.

Act II concludes here
