SARA
STORAGE AND REHEARSAL AREA
TownSquare Players, along with our Sister company, Woodstock Musical Theatre Company, maintain a
joint
facility, fondly referred to as "SARA". This is used for storage of set pieces, props, auditions at times, sets
are constructed here, and rehearsals are conducted here as well. An exact replica, of the Opera House
stage floor, has been made, to facilitate Directors and actors in the rehearsal process of getting used to
the
space they will eventually be working on. As sets are built here as well, the actors, get a chance to work
with the set, before Tech Week comes along. This has proved to be an enormous advantage over having
to make the adjustment during Tech Week at the Opera House.
At least once a year, the SARA Committee meets to clean up and clean out SARA. As you can imagine,
after each production, many items make their way to SARA and need to find "homes" once they get there.
This requires time, organization and commitment by the SARA committee. They rely on volunteers to help
them in their continued effort to maintain a clean and workable facility.
