Act I cont.

Elsa arrives at the Villa.	Elsa gets close to the Captain.
Max makes himself at home at the Villa.	Max stirs things up by asking Elsa of her marriage plans to the Captain.
Elsa, the Captain & Max contemplate the many aspects of love.	A rousing rendition of 'How Can Love Survive'.
Rolf, now a Party member, meets the ire of the Captain.	The Captain is outraged at the possibility of Max’s support.
Maria displays the children’s new clothes she made from her old bedroom curtains.	The Captain is not happy to learn that they have been seen all over town.
The children sing to their father as Maria has encouraged them to do.	The Captain cannot help but be pleased.
Elsa sizes up Maria.	Elsa - determined not to let Maria get the best of her.
The Captain & Elsa at the party.	Louisa and the Captain take a spin.
Party guests.	Dancing the "Laendler"
	Childrens sing; 'So Long, Farewell' to the guests as they head off to bed.
Gretl saying her "goodbye".
Max warns Elsa to be careful in her scheming.	A disheartened Maria leaves the Villa to return to the Abbey.
Maria conflicted about her feelings for the Captain.	Mother Abbess encourages Maria to; 'Climb Ev'ry Mountain'.
