TownSquare Players Receives Grant from Target Stores - 2003
TownSquare Players has announced it is a recipient of a $1000 grant from Target Corporation. The grant
was used to help produce The Sound of Music, which was presented at the Raue Center
in Crystal Lake in June, 2003.
"TownSquare Players is thrilled that Target contributes to the community in this way. It not only helps us
as an organization, it also helps the community as a whole. We really admire Target's commitment to the
arts," says Lou Czarny, president of TownSquare Players.
Target Corporation has a strong tradition of giving back to the communities where they do business and
this year that giving will amount to $2 million a week. That commitment is reflected in Target Stores'
grant-making program, which supports projects that promote the arts, education, and family violence
prevention. "At Target Corporation we feel it is not only our responsibility to give back to the community,
we feel it is our privilege," says Laysha Ward, Vice President of Community Relations. "TownSquare Players
is doing incredible things to help strengthen our communities."
